Sanela Klepić had helped refugees and migrants in Ključ since 2019. Then she joined the Red Cross and established an aid station at the invisible border of Una-Sana Canton.
However, Sanela was thinking about what else she could do all the time. She realized that some people wanted to stay in Bosnia and Herzegovina and needed asylum. This is how she got the idea of a centre that would offer customized services to people. She knew her resources were limited. That’s why she decided to receive small groups in the Centre to be able to provide all services to them.
They have found jobs for several asylum seekers by now. About 20 people receive legal and healthcare support, training, education, language courses and places to live. There's also a group of people who only need food, a visit to the doctor or pay bills. One of the most important things for them was to find a job. So they could pay the rent here but also send some money to their families. This is how the idea of social entrepreneurship was born. The idea of utilizing the tourist potential of Sarajevo.
