The number of children on the refugee and migrant route is not negligible. By the time they reach a desired destination, their childhood is put on hold. Some of them were born on this journey, and are not aware of any other kind of life.
Those children who live in official camps have access to education, treatment and other services. Their peers who live in abandoned buildings do not have that.
The children told us they wanted to play, to have friends, normal living conditions. It is freedom that they want.
